Time is flying! It seems like we just got back to school in September, and now we're almost at the winter holidays- well, as they say, time flies when you're having fun (learning math)!
We have begun a study of the Order of Operations (well, a review of it, since most of it was taught/learned in 5th grade). I use a preassessment to show growth through our review, and I like to show students where this skill can take them in terms of the more challenging applications that are supported by it. Of course, it's all justified by good use of SOL resources.
Homework:
Monday- Properties Review sheet; quiz Wednesdsay
Tuesday- Pg 12, 2-14 even
Wednesday- Pg 12, 17-23 odd
Thursday- PG 13, 25-31 odd
Friday- Pg 13, 26-32 even
Announcements:
Quiz- Wednesday (Properties; SOL 6.19)
Test- Benchmark #2- December 17th
Quiz- SOL 6.8 (new stuff)- December 18th
