Happy New Year!
We've made it! Though not actually so, I consider the return from the holiday break as a sort of "midpoint" to the school year. At this time, I like to come back to school procedures, policies, and agreed-upon class rules, which helps to bring everyone back mentally after such long break.
As we switch our brains on after so long, we're starting off by discussing some basic geometry (formulas for area, perimeter, volume, and surface area), while determining how they're used in real-life situations. Take a look at the videos below, which give great examples of what we're learning in class.
Homework this week can be found on the main page (calendar at bottom of page).
Vocabulary- please refer to the BLUE BOOK for the list, with definitions. These will be referenced in class often!
Announcements:
Next Test: January 21st (SOL 6.10)
Next Quiz: January 23rd (SOL 6.3; integers)
