Hey everyone!
Guess what? I'm not here today (in school, that is)! Mr. Shableski will be there to take care of your needs, and to ensure a safe environment. Be nice to him, and he'll be nice to you. He will let me know if I need to talk to a parent about an issue.
While I'm gone, watch and take note of the videos below, according to what class you're in (M6 or PA). Remember to write down questions to ask me in class, math that you see, definitions, weird things I say, etc., so we can continue our conversation tomorrow.
Do your best- help others- follow the KINDERGARTEN RULE!

MATH 6:
The videos below are a great introduction to SOL 6.2, conversions between fractions, decimals, and percents. There are lots of tricks that can be learned, but as long as you can complete a PDF Chart (first video), then you'll do GREAT! The videos below it give details to little tricks and skills that you might learn to help. Later, we'll learn how to ORDER and COMPARE fractions, decimals, and percents.
Pre-Algebra (Block 2)
Please find your videos by clicking on the links below (from VirtualNerd). These videos do a good job of explaining SCIENTIFIC NOTATION, which we began yesterday (9/13).

The last two videos are a review of what we've already discussed- square roots of non-perfect squares. I was able to find the video I was describing in class that shows estimation (using a calculator), and I put the factoring video with it as a reference, from class.
